The GSA has already verified our financial capability and negotiated and approved all pricing and contractual terms and conditions. Plus, all regulatory requirements for competition have been met. This contract has no ceiling amount, no maximum order limitation, allows funding obligations to span fiscal years, and provides virtually any federally funded organization access to Omen, Inc. This includes federal agencies, certain state and local agencies, and prime contractors on federal programs. The Terms and Conditions are consistent with commercial practices. In keeping with the spirit of streamlined acquisition procedures, contract announcements do not have to be published in the FedBizOpps (FBO). The regulations provide a method to quickly award tasks, and require a Best Value evaluation. Users are urged to work with contractors like Omen, Inc. in the development of their Statements of Work. This dialogue results in easily understood requirements that translate into realistic technical solutions. Other advantages include a DoD directive stating that the GSA Schedule is a preferred Source of Supply. As a small business, awards made to Omen, Inc. apply to contracting activity Small Business Goals. Awarding work to Omen, Inc. under the GSA schedule cuts costs, paperwork, and time. The purchasing process works well and reduces administrative burdens.
